The Amsterdam Medal was awarded in 1816 to members of the Amsterdam Volunteer Rifle Company who guarded the town of Amsterdam during 1815. The Medal was non-wearable as awarded. By Royal decree of 1833 these medals were made wearable. The ribbon used was orange.

Obverse: in a wreath of wirtle and laurel leaves the legend "Veldtogt 1815" (Campaign 1815). Reverse: the recipient's name engraved in a wreath of oakleaves. On top the text "Hulde van de hoofdcommissie te Amsterdam aan:" (Honour of the Upper committee at Amsterdam to; Dïameter: 38mm. Material: Silver.
