In 1945 the NVBC (Dutch Society of Firefighters Commanders) instituted the Cross for faithfull service. It was used until 1967 when the KNBV and NVBC merged.
Two types of cross exist:
- Bronze for 12,5 years of service
- Silver for 25 years of service
Fo every consecutive 5 years a clasp could be worn. Clasps exits of 30,35 and 40 years of service.
Obverse: A red enameled cross. in the centre the logo of NVBC surrounde bij the text "Nederlandse Vereniging van Brandweercommandanten". Reverse: flat. Diameter: 35mm. Material: Bronze / Silver
